National Account Controller – Altrincham

Due to continued expansion, we are currently seeking to recruit a National Accounts Co-ordinator based at our Altrincham Depot.

About The Role

As a National Accounts Co-ordinator, your main duties would include:

  • Resolving and assisting with issues for National Accounts while being their main point of contact.
  • Promoting and gaining additional work for the Gunn JCB Aftermarket department.
  • Efficiently handling customer calls, including taking booking information and providing progress updates.
  • Keeping customers informed about service completion times and any potential delays.
  • Contacting customers daily to discuss service requirements.
  • Following up with customers after service completion to gain authorisation for additional repairs.
  • Making courtesy calls to ensure customer satisfaction post-service.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and establishing customers’ requirements.
  • Liaising with the Service Supervisor for accurate Workshop scheduling.
  • Working with Service Engineers to determine additional service needs.
  • Preparing quotations for customer approval.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records in the system.
  • Meeting targets for Sure Price Services.
  • Ensuring all service dates agreed with customers are met.
  • Managing retail and internal invoicing to achieve monthly budget targets.
  • Logging engineer hours daily and tracking work in progress.
  • Assisting with transport organisation to ensure timely machine deliveries.
  • Supporting all aspects of the service office.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to take the initiative.
  • Experience in customer service, aftermarket roles, or service coordination.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of plant machinery, agriculture, or JCB equipment.
  • Stock management or service office experience.
