Seras Strengthens Fleet with New JCB 457HT Loaders from Gunn JCB

Gunn JCB is proud to support Seras with a major upgrade to their fleet through the delivery of new JCB 457HT loading shovels, each equipped with Ulrich High Tip Buckets designed for high‑capacity waste wood handling.
This investment represents a significant milestone in Seras’s long‑term strategy to enhance performance, efficiency, and safety across its nationwide operations.
The JCB 457HT is known for its robust build, advanced hydraulics, and operator‑focused design-making it a natural fit for Seras’s demanding biomass fuel production processes. The addition of Ulrich High Tip Buckets, engineered in the UK and built to withstand the harshest environments, enables Seras to move waste wood loads of up to 14m³ with ease.
This combination will deliver increased productivity and versatility across Seras’s sites, supporting their commitment to reliability and continuous improvement.
A key priority for Seras during the purchasing process was ensuring operators benefit from a comfortable and safe working environment. The JCB 457HT delivers on this with:
- A spacious, ergonomic cab designed to reduce fatigue
- Excellent all‑round visibility for safer operation on busy sites
- Advanced suspension and ride‑control technology for a smoother experience on uneven terrain
“Our operators are at the heart of our success, and investing in their comfort and safety is a top priority,” said Aaron Whitrow, Head of Site Operations at Seras. “With these new JCB vehicles and Ulrich shovel attachments, we’re not only boosting our fleet’s capabilities but also providing our team with the best possible working conditions.”
“JCB and Ulrich have been superb partners, knowledgeable, supportive, and easy to work with. I’m delighted we’ll be working with them going forward to maintain our new equipment.”
Kieron Tiller, Construction Sales at Gunn JCB, commented on the successful handover:
“It’s been great working alongside Aaron and the Seras team to find the right solution for their business needs. We look forward to supporting Seras in the future and developing our relationship even further.”
Gunn JCB is delighted to help Seras end 2025 with positive investment news and looks forward to seeing the improved efficiencies the new equipment will bring throughout 2026.
